Frequently Asked Questions
Does InvestWorld manufacture the cables?
No. We work with manufacturers in China and coordinate sourcing, qualification, negotiation and on-the-ground follow-up for our clients.
Can you meet Canadian requirements?
Requirements depend on the cable type, flame rating and installation. We check the applicable standards and the manufacturer's documentation before confirming suitability.
Can we get samples, and what is the MOQ?
Yes, samples are possible. Cost, lead time and MOQ depend on the product and are confirmed during qualification.
Can you ship to Canada?
We coordinate logistics and shipment preparation. Responsibilities and Incoterms are set for each order.
What about Africa and other markets?
Our business does not stop at Canada. These anti-dumping duties apply only to imports into Canada; they do not affect shipments to other countries. We therefore also source power and building cables in China for clients in Africa and other markets, in addition to the data cables described above.
Each country has its own requirements (standards, certificates of conformity, import inspection, customs duties). Before confirming a product, we check the rules of the destination country and the manufacturer’s documentation, then coordinate quality control and shipping.
Importing into Africa or elsewhere? Write to us, stating the destination country, cable type, specifications and volumes.
Canadian standards. CSA C22.2 No. 214 applies to communications cables intended to be installed under Section 60 of the Canadian Electrical Code. Before confirming that a product is suitable, we check the manufacturer’s documentation and the certification mark it carries.
